Factory MOPAR Air Filters
Most vehicles have two air filters -- a cabin filter for the AC and heating systems and an engine filter for the motor. This is true of cars like Chrysler 200, trucks like RAM 1500, SUVs like Jeep Wrangler, and otherwise. The synthetic paper, foam, cotton, or metal fibers can clog up with gunk quickly, though, and since you have to replace them every 12,000 to 15,000 miles or so anyway -- put simply, they go bad fast, either way.
You're in luck; our auto parts store has replacement Mopar air filters for less. Usually, they go for around $10 to start, depending on make and model, and steeply discounted at that -- sometimes, up to 35% off MSRP.
So, if you see the signs that it's time to change them -- clogs, a Check Engine light, engine and acceleration problems, worsening gas mileage, black exhaust smoke, and unclean smells in the cabin -- be sure to take care of the job ASAP.
How to Replace Car Air Filters
It's easy. First, find the engine air filter housing under the hood and the cabin air filter housing behind the glove box. Then, take the old filter out of each, and put a new one in. Be sure to check your owner's manual or manufacturer's instructions for specifics. Otherwise, before you get new air filters online, be sure they're genuine OEM. What Mopar makes will be manufacturer-quality, it'll come guaranteed to fit, and it'll carry a warranty for peace of mind.
