What are the Splash Guards on a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, or FIAT?

They're the barriers on its wheel wells. You see them most often on cars like Chrysler 200 and Dodge Challenger.

What they do is help protect the underbody of your ride (the fenders, the rocker panels, and so on) from dirt and grime.
