Mopar Cargo Trays FAQ

What Does Replacing Car Floor Carpets Cost on Average?

Usually, $1,000 or more. That's for any vehicle, not just a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, or FIAT.

Worse yet, it's a huge hassle to do yourself. You might think it's just a matter of sizing and installing new carpet. It isn't; there's way more to it than that.

For one, there's trim and fasteners to remove. Secondly, there's messing with electrical connections. Then, there's taking seats out. Factor in disassembling the center console, pulling out insulation, and having to clean up the floor pans (and scrub rust off them), plus having to repaint surfaces, and yes -- it's a lot of work you might want to leave to the pros at a Mopar service center. None of this includes replacing plastic floor liners, either.

How Can I Avoid That Cost?

One of the best ways is to protect that floor liner and carpeting in the first place, as long as you can -- and this, by installing a cargo tray or two (alongside a good set of all-weather floor mats). They're dual solutions, for cargo management and for protection. More importantly, they're much less expensive. Just be sure to use OEM, not aftermarket.

Why Buy OEM Cargo Trays? Why Not Aftermarket?

Mopar makes them. So, they'll be top-quality, they'll fit your ride right the first time, and best of all, they'll work better. Most even come with manufacturer warranties, so you can buy with confidence.
