How to Tell When to Replace Parts in a Suspension

You'll see the signs it's time. They include pulling sideways when turning, a rougher ride than normal, uneven tire tread wear, and oil or grease buildup on the shocks and struts. Otherwise, change them when needed, upon inspection every 50,000 to 80,000 miles. If you put off repairs, it can mean faster wear and tear, and that'll eventually lead to loss of stability and control; in other words, your vehicle will become an accident waiting to happen.
